Garment Luggage, Wheeled Or Otherwise Saves You Ironing

Traveling is something that most everyone enjoys. It's fun to get away from your regular life, and even if you're on a business trip, staying in a hotel and being on a different schedule is a nice break from the norm.

However, there are some parts of our normal life we miss when we travel. Most of those things we pack in our suitcases to take along for our comfort and convenience, but one thing most of us rely on without realizing it is our closet.

Of course there's no way to pack your closet into your suitcase, but that doesn't have to stop you from taking the contents of your closet with you. One way you can do this is to fold up your suit, dresses or shirts and tuck them into your suitcase. Then, when you've arrived at your destination, pull them out again an iron them one by one.

But who wants to spend their vacation ironing? Or even their business trip? Thank heavens for garment luggage! Garment bags are specially designed to hold your pressed clothing by the hanger for minimum wrinkling during the process of transportation from point A to point B.

Garment bags start out very basic in the form of a type of plastic bag with a hole at the top for the hangers and a zipper down the front. These are obviously for very short term use, and won't work for air travel or any other sort of long distance trip.

Real garment luggage is made much like any other item of luggage. You can find them to match your luggage set, or purchase a set that already includes one. This is handy for those who often attend more formal events when they travel, and need to have the formal clothing to wear to them.

In the past it was necessary to hold the clothing by the hanger while carrying the garment bag. Then a fold over version was used that can be carried much like a regular suitcase. Fortunately, garment luggage has developed even more since then.

Now you can find wheeled garment bags! This is a great advantage over the old kind which were often floppy and a bit difficult to deal with. Wheeled bags are extremely easy to get through the airport with you without having to carry a thing.

Also, newer garment bags will hold more than just your pressed clothing. They sometimes have room for other items of clothing or even shoes, making this item of luggage practical for anyone to have.

If you are looking to buy garment luggage, try to find one that will match your current luggage set. Otherwise, maybe it's time for a new set and you can get one that includes a garment bag. Or opt for a neutral colored one that will go with anything as a separate piece.
